To top it off, the rich white people who will actually find this inconvenient, are the exact same people who vote for the Democrats. They’re the ones who are rich enough to hire help to do all of these routine things.
I’m indulging myself here a little bit, but the last few years I have cut way back on offering my political opinions in public. I figured out that my preferences and opinions have no impact on anything or anybody. There’s a handful of people willing to have a good faith conversation with someone they disagree with on anything. That can be worth doing. But putting anything online about politics generally seems to be a complete waste of time.
You almost have to wonder if these are right-wingers posing as left-wingers. How can a human being be that far out of touch? The language he uses is so laughably overblown, like "Ye know not what ye hath wrought! Stare into the abyss of the lawnmower gas tank, and despaaaaair, evildoer!"
One of the things about contemporary lefties is that they are literally beyond parody. They do say things that are so fucking retarded. You can’t believe it, and then they top it the next day with something even worse. They only talk to each other so they live in complete isolation from reality of even even from sanity.
I actually was a 1980s Republican. I don’t remember the 1980s Republicans being anything like these people. Our biggest concern with the lefties were so smug, corrupt and stupid that they were going to lose the Cold War. We also saw the dare idea of managing the economy was leading to stagnation, and they needed to be pushed back. Our man Ronald Reagan wasn’t the least bit snooty. He was a kid from nowhere who made it big.
Good to know! My only perspective was from West Bumfuck, WI, and we saw all politicians as The Music Man. The idea that they’re treated as entertainer-celebs now is so wild.
Successful politicians, master, the most advanced communication medium of the day. Trump seems to have figured out how to make the best use of the technology of the day, including tweets, and longform podcasts. Some politicians act like they are showman, Huey, Long, James Michael Curley, but it’s not typical in American history. Trump comes out of the real estate world, but more of the entertainment world of television. He knows he is putting on a show. Similarly, Reagan was acutely aware of the visuals, he treated every appearance as a TV show or a movie. When he arrived in an event he would say “where are my blocks“ which meant where was he supposed to stand so that he would be positioned for the camera, just as if he were stepping onto a movie set. John F. Kennedy was known to be humorous, as well as looking like a Hollywood movie star. That had a lot to do with his professional success. The British royal family carefully structures, all of their public appearances. Political power especially at the highest level, is always surrounded by a certain amount of showbiz and razzmatazz. there’s a symbolic element to it,it’s not like merely being in the head of the department of streets and sanitation.
Huh. I never thought how odd it is that electoral politics and royalty should use the same symbolic language, but meh how many real variations do we think we have, eh?
Gotta love it when these people tell on themselves online. They do it a lot and are so dense they don't get we have all caught on to them & are tired of their charade.
Guess what? Virtue signalling at my expense doesn't make me think you're a good person! I wonder how these geniuses managed to not predict that in advance?
goddamned woman... you're _so_ good at this....
Excellent!!
You'd be forgiven for thinking some parts of Australia are India or the Middle-east. Legal inundation is bad enough without the illegals.
To top it off, the rich white people who will actually find this inconvenient, are the exact same people who vote for the Democrats. They’re the ones who are rich enough to hire help to do all of these routine things.
yeah… they really would ruin your life for cheaper servants, wouldn’t they?
And they think their opponents are pure evil.
Why does EVERYONE think they need to have a political opinion?

Meet the new 1980s Republicans, twice as snooty as the old 80s Republicans….

But we should feel so privileged that some of us get to be someone's aesthetic inspiration through their memes and social media posts.
