ok, this was a fun read, your opener had nothing to do with the story but it was nevertheless a delightful little disconnect side story, and your observations and personifications of your cat were wonderful! Such detail!

oh, i’m not so sure about that, looks to me like you’ve got a few innate powers.

I got a few!!! Heh. But right now I’m admittedly kind of on a kick where I can’t help thinking about how dogs and cats made civilization possible. If you have no cats, you never get a surplus of grain stores. We owe it all to these little murder machines.

haha true enough, they do a better job of reducing the mouse population than snakes do! . . . problem is however that they also kill billions of harmless birds each year! i was amazed to learn this . . . hard to believe the alleged number of 4-5 billion but i checked a dozen sources and they all agree . . . house cats kill billions of birds.

the object of art is not self-expression; it is truer to say that it is self-restraint. This article exemplifies that, Ann! This was fantastic. And yes, I want to be a cat. Reincarnated as one.....so bad. I am subscribing and hope you do the same! I imagine the bonded willpower over cats will bear much fruit. I'll be in touch.

Thank you !! An admiration for our feline overlords already speaks very well of your character... every time I get too big for my britches I remember that there is such a thing as a perfect creature, but it ain't me, yet!

I don't know why people find my writing esoteric, I do my best to keep my vocabulary as dimple ad I can while still being accurate. Well, maybe my sitcom will get easier for people to get into...

Lmao! That last part made me laugh. And, no, your writing is sublime. Not esoteric. I am happy to have found your work, Ann

Thank you so much!!

Even I will admit though, I need to make time for a tl;dr version of this. Unfortunately or not, I'm busy with making this obsession all the time:

hehe that's wild. Weird even. The "other" expat femme aux chats in Paris only just posted *her* account of the litter vs heatwave...

I love the politics of cats; it is such a stratified world. They are very aware of what place they all have with each other, like an 80s soap opera.
